Norrie Seeks Monte Carlo Breakthrough

Cameron Norrie reached his first quarterfinal of the year at Indian Wells, beating Alex de Minaur before losing to Carlos Alcaraz. He could not build on that momentum, falling in the opening round in Miami to Alex Michelsen.

Overall, he has played seven tournaments this season and recorded multiple wins only twice, including a third-round run at the Australian Open. He has also suffered early exits in two of his last three events.

This will be his sixth appearance in Monte Carlo Masters, where he has struggled historically. He has not won a match in his last four visits, with his only success coming on debut in 2019 when he reached the third round.

Kecmanovic Looks To Build Momentum

Miomir Kecmanovic is coming off an opening-round loss in Miami, where he led by a set against Kamil Majchrzak before falling 6-4, 3-6, 1-6. It marked his fifth first-round exit of the season.

He had a slow start to the year with four consecutive opening-round defeats but found some momentum during the North American swing, reaching the quarterfinal in Dallas and the semifinal in Acapulco.

Kecmanovic has struggled in Monte Carlo Masters, winning just one match in five appearances. His only victory came in 2024 against Matteo Berrettini before losing to Grigor Dimitrov.
