Djokovic Finds Way in Three Sets
Novak Djokovic advanced to the fourth round after defeating Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4 1-6 6-4 in Indian Wells. He dropped serve twice and converted four of the six break points he created.
It is the first time Djokovic has won multiple matches here since 2017. He holds a 9-2 record in Round-of-16 matches at the event and has lifted the title five times.
The Serbian has been dealing with recurring fitness issues in recent seasons, which have limited his schedule.
Despite that, he still produces strong results, including reaching the final of the Australian Open after defeating Jannik Sinner in the semifinal.
Djokovic has not lost a Round-of-16 match at a hard-court Masters event since the Miami Open in 2019. In the last seven years, his only defeats at this stage have come on clay.

Draper Keeps Title Defense Alive
Jack Draper defeated Francisco Cerundolo 6-1 7-5 to reach the fourth round in Indian Wells. He was twice a break down in the second set but recovered to finish the match in straight sets.
This is Draper’s first time winning multiple main-draw matches on tour since his semifinal run at the Queen's Club Championships last year and his first on hard courts since his title-winning campaign in Indian Wells.
He holds a 5-3 record in Round-of-16 matches at Masters events, winning three of his last four. Two of his three losses at this stage came against top-10 opponents.
