Halys Powers Past Majchrzak

Quentin Halys defeated Kamil Majchrzak 7-6, 6-1 to reach the fourth round in Miami. He fired 15 aces and won 89% of his first-serve points in a strong performance.

Before this week, he had struggled for consistency, failing to win multiple matches in any of his nine tournaments across all levels. This run will be enough to push him back into the top 100.

Halys has played only one round-of-16 match at Masters level before, which also came in Miami, where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.

Zverev Keeps Miami Momentum

Alexander Zverev defeated Marin Cilic 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to reach the fourth round in Miami. He missed six break-point chances in the second set to close it out earlier but recovered to win in three.

The German has been consistent this season, reaching two semifinals, with losses coming against Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

Zverev holds a strong 4-1 record in Miami round-of-16 matches. Apart from his loss to Arthur Fils last year, he had won the previous four, including a run to the final in 2018.

Since the start of 2025, he has played eight Masters round-of-16 matches and converted six of them into quarterfinal appearances, including at Indian Wells this year.
