Oklahoma Form

Oklahoma boast a perfect 7-0 record this season but they have slipped to #3 in the polls.

The Sooners dropped from #2 to #4 after making hard work of a 40-35 win over Tulane on opening day.

They blew out Western Carolina (76-0) in their next outing but continued to slide down the rankings and fell to #6 after wins over Nebraska (23-16), West Virginia (16-13) and Kansas State (37-31).

Oklahoma rose back to #4 tanks to a 55-48 win over #21 Texas and then beat Texas Christian 52-31 to climb up to #3.

Caleb Williams has seen increased playing time at QB in recent weeks and is now 40/59 for six touchdowns and no interceptions. He has also rushed for 215 yards and three TDs.

Mike Woods is leading the team in receiving with 294 yards and two touchdowns, while Jadon Haselwood has now found the endzone five times this season.

And in the backfield Kennedy Brooks and Eric Gray have both played significant roles. Brooks has rushed for 688 yards and seven TDs, while Gray has 425 yards from scrimmage and two scores.

Kansas Form

Kansas opened the season with a narrow 17-14 win over South Dakota but since then they have not won a single game.

The Jayhawks were beaten 49-22 by #17 Coastal Carolina in their next outing and were then blown out 45-7 by Baylor.

They produced their best offensive showing of the season a week later, but that was not enough to prevent a 52-33 defeat at the hands of Duke.

Their heaviest loss of the season came a week later in the form of a 59-7 loss to Iowa State, and Kansas’ losing skid hit five games a week ago as they lost 41-14 to Texas Tech.

QB Jason Bean is 77/139 for 932 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions. He has shown his threat with his legs, rushing for 305 yards and two scores.

Devin Neal leads Kansas in rushing 318 yards and two touchdowns through six games.

Trevor Wilson leads the team in receiving having hauled in 17 of his targets for 287 yards and one score.

The Jayhawks are averaging just 16.7 points per game while allowing 41 per game. They have given up at least 41 points in each of their losses.

Oklahoma should roll over Kansas here and run up a score even after benching the starters.

This could get ugly for the Jayhawks. Their defense is expected to get gashed badly as the Sooners cover a large spread.
