Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte Preview & Picks
Anthony Joshua is tipped to win this heavyweight grudge match.
These two fighters dislike each other greatly, but that is unlikely to result in fireworks in London.

- Anthony Joshua’s last 6 fights have gone beyond 6 rounds

Head To Head
- Anthony Joshua beat Dillian Whyte by 7th round TKO in December 2015
Anthony Joshua Form
Anthony Joshua is a former two-time world heavyweight champion with a record of 25-3 (22 KOs).
Joshua landed his first world title fight by knocking out Dillian Whyte in the seventh round in December 2015.
He went on to dethrone Charles Martin to win the IBF heavyweight title in just two rounds.
The 33-year-old then knocked out Dominic Breazeale and Eric Molina to successful defend the belty and set up a unification fight with Wladimir Klitschko.
Joshua overcame being knocked down and stopped Klitschko in the 11th round, claiming the WBA (Super) and IBO titles.
He went on to knocked out Carlos Takam and Alexander Povetkin either side of a unanimous decision win over Joseph Parker that earned him the WBO belt too.
However, Joshua’s reign came to a shocking end in June 2019 when he was knocked out in the seventh round by replacement fighter Andy Ruiz Jr.
He beat Ruiz Jr by unanimous decision later that year to regain the belts, and a year later he knocked out Kubrat Pulev in the ninth round for another successful defence.
The former Olympic gold medallist soon surrendered the belts again though, as he dropped a unanimous decision to Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua lost the rematch too, this time via split decision, but he rebounded in April with a points win over Jermaine Franklin.
Dillian Whyte Form
Dillian Whyte is a former world heavyweight title challenger with a professional record of 29-3 (19 KOs).
Whyte rebounded from a knockout loss to Joshua in 2015 with an 11-fight win streak that propelled him into title contention.
Along the way he beat former world champion Joseph Parker by unanimous decision, but he was made to wait for his shot as the Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder trilogy got in the way.
‘The Body Snatcher’ opted to stay active to pass the time – a risky decision that almost backfired on him.
He knocked out Derek Chisora and claimed decision wins over Oscar Rivas and Mariusz Wach as he waited for his shot at the WBC belt.
Whyte’s streak came to an end in August 2020 though, as he was knocked out in the fifth round by Alexander Povetkin.
He bounced back to stop Povetkin in the fourth round in the March 2021 rematch, and after that win he was finally granted a world heavyweight title shot.
The 35-year-old came up short though, as he was stopped in the sixth round by WBC and Ring Magazine champion Tyson Fury in April 2022.
Whyte returned to action before the end of the year however, claiming a majority decision win against Jermaine Franklin.
Verdict
Both fighters have seen their stock fall over the past couple of years.
Anthony Joshua is the better fighter though, and with some big-money fights on the horizon he is backed to once again take out Dillian Whyte.
