Hamilton head to Saskatchewan looking to issue an immediate response to the defeat that ended their six-game win streak.
The Tiger-Cats made a rough start to the season as they lost 38-26 in Calgary and 28-23 at home to Saskatchewan to go into the bye week at 0-2.
They turned things around after the early break though, backing up a 35-17 win over Montreal with a 51-38 victory in Toronto.
Hamilton then won back-to-back meetings with Ottawa, 23-20 at home and 30-15 on the road, before downing the BC Lions on the road, 37-33.
The Tiger-Cats’ run reached six games with a 28-24 win in Edmonton, only to end the following week with a 41-38 overtime defeat to BC at home.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Form
Saskatchewan return from the bye week looking to extend a three-game win streak that has taken them to 7-1.
The Roughriders opened the season with a 31-26 win at home to Ottawa, before heading out on the road to down Hamilton 28-23 and Toronto 39-32.
Their streak reached four games with a 37-18 victory over the BC Lions, before finally ending with a 24-10 loss to Calgary.
Saskatchewan issued an immediate response though, heading to British Columbia to beat the Lions 33-27.
The Roughriders then backed that up with a 21-18 win over Edmonton and a 34-6 success at Montreal before heading into their second bye week.
Verdict
Hamilton’s red-hot was brought to a halt last weekend; hardly ideal timing ahead of this matchup.
Saskatchewan have been the CFL’s most consistent team so far, and we expect the Roughriders to stay on a roll on Saturday.
