Hamilton Tiger-Cats Form

Hamilton head back out on the road having opened the 2024 season with back-to-back defeats.

The Tiger-Cats opened the season with a 32-24 defeat in Calgary, and that was followed by a 33-30 loss when they hosted Saskatchewan last weekend.

It has been a rough start for a team who are looking to improve on an 8-10 regular season campaign in 2023.

Hamilton lost their final two games of the regular season, but had done enough to make it to the postseason despite a losing record.

The Tiger-Cats made a quick exit from the playoffs however, as they were beaten 27-12 by a Montreal team that went on to win the Grey Cup.

Saskatchewan Roughriders Form

Saskatchewan go into their first home game of the season boasting a perfect record thanks to a couple of road wins.

The Roughriders opened with a 29-21 victory in Edmonton, and backed that up with a 33-30 success in Hamilton last weekend.

It has been a great start for new head coach Corey Mace, who is looking to lead the team to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.

Saskatchewan went 6-12 during the 2022 season, and repeated that record a year ago.

The Roughriders opened strong with three wins in their first four games, but they lost seven straight to end the season, costing them a place in the playoffs.

Verdict

Saskatchewan are finding ways to get the job done and that cannot be ignored.

They beat Hamilton on the road a week ago, and now we are backing them to do it again in home turf.
