Ottawa head to Winnipeg having breathed new life in their season with back-to-back wins since the bye week.
The Redblacks opened the season with consecutive defeats, losing 31-26 in Saskatchewan and 39-18 at home to Montreal, before getting off the mark with a 20-12 win in Calgary.
They failed to build on that though, as they were then beaten 29-16 at home by defending champions Toronto.
Ottawa then lost 39-33 in Edmonton, before dropping back-to-back meetings with Hamilton, losing 23-20 on the road and 30-15 at home.
That sent the Redblacks into the bye at 1-6, but they have rallied since returning to action, beating Calgary 31-11 at home and Toronto 46-42 on the road.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers Form
Winnipeg return home looking to kick-start some improved form, having now lost four of their last five games to fall to 4-4.
The Blue Bombers were on a bye in Week 1, but they quickly got up and running as they beat the BC Lions in back-to-back meetings, 34-20 at home and 27-14 on the road.
They then beat Edmonton 36-23, but failed to make it to four-in-a-row as they were beaten 37-16 in Calgary before their second bye.
Winnipeg’s return to action was another defeat to the Stampeders, this time 41-20 at home, and their losing skid reached three games with a 31-17 loss in Toronto.
The Blue Bombers’ skid finally ended with a 40-31 success against Toronto, but they failed to back that up as they lost 28-27 in Calgary.
Verdict
Ottawa have found some form over the past couple of weeks and they have been covering reliably as a road underdog.
Winnipeg, on the other hand have gone cold since the start of July, so give us the Redblacks at the free points.
