Winnipeg go into their final regular season game having won each of the last three to clinch the West Division with a 13-4 record.
The Blue Bombers stumbled in September as they dropped a couple of games on the road, losing 32-30 in overtime in Saskatchewan and 29-23 at Hamilton.
They bounced back in style though though, going on a three-game win streak that started with a 31-21 win over Toronto in a rematch from last season’s Grey Cup.
Winnipeg followed that up with another big victory a week later, beating BC Lions 34-26 in overtime to wrap up the West title.
The Blue Bombers then made it three-in-a-row after their final bye week, beating Edmonton 45-25 last time out.
Calgary Stampeders Form
Calgary have won their last two games to improve to 6-11 and secure a place in the West Semi-Final.
The Stampeders won just four of their 15 games prior to their final bye week of the 2023 regular season.
They went into that break on the back of three consecutive defeats, but since returning they have clinched a postseason berth.
Calgary recorded a big 26-19 home win against Saskatchewan that put them on the brink of the playoffs.
The Stampeders then secured postseason football in stunning fashion, blowing out their semi-final opponents, the BC Lions, 41-16 at home.
Verdict
There is little incentive for either team heading into this one, so we have to lean towards the better team with the best roster, Winnipeg.
