  • The Hero World Challenge picks for November 30 to December 3
  • Tournament taking place at the Albany Golf Club, Bahamas
  • Preview, predictions, stats & form
An elite field of the world's best golfers returns to the Albany Golf Club to compete in the Hero World Challenge. Who will emerge as the winner in the Bahamas this weekend?

Viktor Hovland returns to defend his title after securing a two-stroke victory over Scottie Scheffler in 2022 and will attempt to win the event for the third consecutive time.

Tiger Woods returns to tournament golf for the first time since having to withdraw from the Masters in April.

Past and present major winners in the lineup include Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Matt Fitzpatrick, Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Keegan Bradley, Lucas Glover, Jason Day, Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.

These are our four selections that could win this weekend.

Collin Morikawa

Collin Morikawa has been in great shape in the PGA Tour lately, achieving excellent results and winning his first title in almost two years.

Morikawa's performances were wayward for a few months before finding form by placing T14 at the US Open, MC at the Travellers Championship, T13 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T25 at the BMW Championship, T6 at the Tour Championship and victory at the ZOZO Championship.

Morikawa's other outstanding results this year include finishing 2nd at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, 3rd at the Farmers Insurance Open, T6 at the Genesis Invitational, T13 at the Players Championship and T10 at the Masters.

The two-time Major champion has featured twice at the Hero World Challenge, placing T5 in 2021 and 6th in 2022.

Morikawa was back to his best last time out and has the form to secure back-to-back victories.

Justin Thomas

Justin Thomas appears to have turned the corner after a difficult period on the PGA Tour, where he missed the cut five times in eight starts by placing T12 at the Wyndham Championship, 5th at the Fortinet Championship and 4th at the Nedbank Golf Challenge (DP World Tour).

Other noteworthy results achieved by Thomas this year include finishing 4th at the WM Phoenix Open, T20 at the Genesis Invitational, T21 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T10 at the Valspar Championship, T25 at the RBC Heritage, T14 at the Wells Fargo Championship and T9 at the Travelers Championship.

The American has compiled a solid record at this event, placing 11th in 2017, T12 in 2018, T5 in 2019, T5 in 2021 and 5th in 2022.

Thomas has found some form on the golf course and will look to cap off his year with a win at the Hero World Challenge.

Sepp Straka

Sepp Straka has been thereabouts in his last three tournament starts on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, finishing T14 at the Tour Championship, T10 at the BMW PGA Championship, and T22 at the DP World Tour Championship.

Other prominent performances achieved by Straka this year include placing T21 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, T5 at the Honda Classic, T22 at the Valero Texas Open, T7 at the PGA Championship, T16 at the Memorial Tournament, victory at the John Deere Classic and 2nd at the Open Championship.

The 30-year-old Austrian placed T10 overall at the 2022 Hero World Challenge on debut.

Straka has threatened to put in a big performance lately and offers an excellent each-way bet in the Bahamas.

Lucas Glover

Lucas Glover played excellent golf on the PGA Tour between June and August this year after struggling with his game, achieving back-to-back titles.

Glover placed T20 at the RBC Canadian Open, MC at the Travelers Championship, T4 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, T6 at the John Deere Classic, 5th at the Barbasol Championship and MC at the 3M Open.

He then won the Wyndham Championship and at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, finished T22 at the BMW Championship and T18 at the Tour Championship before finishing T59 at the World Wide Technology Championship and T45 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

The veteran American golfer has featured once at the Hero World Challenge, placing 13th in 2009.

Glover has won twice this year and is the long-shot value bet at the Albany Golf Club.

Verdict

Morikawa has the game to secure his maiden Hero World Challenge this weekend.

Thomas has been holding form and will fancy his chances to return to winning ways in the Bahamas.

Straka has solid form and should enter calculations at the Albany Golf Club.

Glover has enjoyed a comeback year on the PGA Tour and could cause an upset this weekend.
