Houston missed out on the series sweep as they lost the final game 9-8, and that was followed by a 6-1 loss to Seattle.
The Astros avoided a third straight loss as they beat the Mariners 4-3, only to then lose the series finale, 8-1.
Cleveland Guardians Form
Cleveland come into this series on the back of a sweep and having won eight of their previous 11 games.
The Guardians’ solid run began with back-to-back wins at home to Tampa Bay, with 6-1 and 2-0 victories ensuring a split of that series.
They then got the better of Minnesota in a four-game series, winning 4-3 before rebounding from a 4-1 loss with 5-4 and 3-2 wins.
Cleveland headed out on the road after that and failed to build on a 5-1 victory in St Louis as they lost the next two meetings with the Cardinals, 6-5 and 2-1.
The Guardians got back to winning ways when they returned home though, sweeping Cincinnati with 6-1 and 5-2 victories.
Verdict
Cleveland are in good form and Joey Cantillo has given up little recently, so we like the Guardians in this one.
