Los Angeles make the long trip to New York looking to bounce back from a defeat that tied up the National League Championship Series at 1-1.

The Dodgers drew first blood against the Mets, shutting them out in a 9-0 win, but they failed to follow that up as they beaten 7-3 in Game 2.

That defeat ended a three-game win streak for the Dodgers that included a couple of big wins over San Diego in the Division Series.

Los Angeles had a rough regular season series with the Padres, dropping a bunch of games, and they found themselves 2-1 after the first three games.

The Dodgers responded well to that adversity though, recording 8-0 and 2-0 victories over San Diego to set up this showdown with the Mets.

New York return home having given themselves a slight upper-hand in the National League Championship Series.

The Mets were shut out as they lost 9-0 in the series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they rebounded immediately to take the next meeting, 7-3, knotting up this series at 1-1.

That victory was their sixth in the postseason so far, with the previous five helping them down Milwaukee and Philadelphia.

New York sandwiched a 5-3 defeat in Milwaukee with 8-4 and 4-2 victories as they eliminated the Brewers in the Wild Card round.

The Mets then split two road games with Philadelphia, before returning home to win 7-2 and 4-1 to clinch the Division Series.

Walker Buehler took a beating in his last start for Los Angeles, and this New York offense is capable of teeing off on him.

The Mets make for an appealing underdog in their first home game of this series.
