Milwaukee enter the All-Star break on an excellent run of form, having won seven consecutive games.
The Brewers began July with a 7-2 victory over the New York Mets, but failed to back that up as they lost three of the next four.
They were beaten 7-3 and 3-2 by the Mets, before failing to back up a 6-5 victory in Miami as they lost 4-2 to the Marlins.
Milwaukee did win the final meeting though, 3-1, and that proved to be the start of a seven-game win streak.
The Brewer swept the Los Angeles Dodgers with 9-1, 3-1 and 3-2 victories, and then swept Washington thanks to 8-3, 6-5 and 6-1 wins.
Los Angeles Dodgers Form
Los Angeles went into the mid-season break having rallied from a seven-game losing skid with back-to-back victories.
The Dodgers enjoyed a winning start to July as they swept the Chicago White Sox with 6-1, 5-4 and 6-2 wins.
Their form collapsed after that though, as they lost all three home meetings with Houston, 18-1, 6-4 and 5-1.
Los Angeles then went out on the road and were swept by the Brewers in Milwaukee, losing 9-1, 3-1 and 3-2.
The Dodgers’ skid reached seven games as they fell to an 8-7 defeat in San Francisco, but they did finally rebound in the Bay Area as they rallied to beat the Giants 2-1 and 5-2.
