Imavov’s rise stalled in 2023 as he dropped a decision to Sean Strickland and went to a No Contest with Chris Curtis, but he rebounded in 2024.
He began the year with a fourth-round knockout of top contender Jared Cannonier, and followed it up with a points win over Brendan Allen.
Imavov then recorded the biggest win of his career to date in February of this year, knocking out former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the second round.

Caio Borralho is the number six ranked middleweight contender with a career record of 17-1 (5 KOs, 4 Subs) with 1 No Contest.
Borralho signed with the UFC after a couple of successful appearances on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021.
He beat Aaron Jeffery by unanimous decision and then knocked out Jesse Murray in the first round.
The 32-year-old Brazilian marked his UFC debut with a decision win over Gadzhi Omargadzhie, before going on to out-point Armen Petrosyan and Makhmud Muradov.
Borralho then scored his first stoppage win in the UFC in April 2023 as he submitted Michal Oleksiejczuk, before downing Abusupiyan Magomedov on points later that year.
He began 2024 with a second-round knockout of Paul Craig, and then kept his streak going with a decision win over Jared Cannonier.
