Chicago Bulls Form

Chicago closed out the regular season with a win, but the final few months of the season were miserable ones.

The Bulls have won just seven of their last 22 games and have repeatedly been blown out by the best teams in the league.

They finished the regular season just 2-20 against teams who boasted a win percentage of .600 or better.

Chicago faced three of those teams during the final two weeks, losing by 18 to Miami, by 21 to Milwaukee and by 23 to Boston – all at home.

Those loses were followed by a 133-117 home defeat to Charlotte, although they did manage to snap their skid at four games.

The Bulls won 124-120 at Minnesota in a game in which both teams rested key players.

DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic all missed the win over the Timberwolves but will return here.

In their absence Patrick Williams led the team with a career-best 35 points, while Ayo Dosunmu had 26 to go along with six assists.

Milwaukee Bucks Form

Milwaukee’s form was patchy over the final two weeks of the regular season, but it was good enough to seal the #2 seed.

The Bucks went 3-3 to close out the campaign, but they did win three of their final four games.

They bounced back from home defeats to Dallas and the Los Angeles Clippers with back-to-back wins over conference rivals.

They blew out the Bulls 127-106 in Chicago before returning home to down Boston 127-121.

Milwaukee made it three-in-a-row with a 131-101 demolition of Detroit on the road, but they failed to make it four-in-a-row.

The Bucks rested their best players as they were beaten 133-115 in Cleveland last Sunday night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton did not dress against the Cavaliers but will return here.

Jrue Holiday did appear, but merely for a matter of seconds to meet a bonus clause in his contract. His appearance her is likely to be more than a brief cameo.

Verdict

Milwaukee have dominated Chicago all season long and there is no reason to think that will change.

Chicago have been straight-up garbage against the league’s best and they are in really poor form.

Spread – Milwaukee -9.0 @ -110
