Cleveland enter this matchup having won eight of their 10 games so far this month, but having lost their last two on the road.
The Cavaliers began then month with a run of four consecutive wins on the road, downing Portland 130-111, the LA Clippers 124-91, Sacramento 132-126 and Denver 119-117.
They maintained that good run when they returned home to beat Washington 138-113 and Brooklyn 112-84, before making it seven-in-a-row with a 118-113 victory in Charlotte.
Cleveland’s run was finally ended by a 121-113 defeat at Oklahoma City, but they responded immediately with a 109-94 win at home to New York.
The Cavaliers failed to back that up in Milwaukee though, as they were beaten 118-116 by the Bucks.
Detroit Pistons Form
Detroit come into this game on the back of a victory over defending champions Oklahoma City – their ninth victory in 11 games.
The Pistons ended January with a 131-124 victory at Golden State, and backed that up at home as they started February with a 130-77 demolition of Brooklyn.
They then beat Denver 124-121, before responding to a 126-117 loss to Washington with a 118-80 victory over New York.
Detroit followed that up on the road as they embarked on a five-game win streak by beating Charlotte 110-104, Toronto 113-95, New York 126-111 and Chicago 126-110.
The Pistons failed to make it six-in-a-row as they fell 114-103 at home to San Antonio, but they did issue an immediate response in the form of a 124-116 win over Oklahoma City.
Verdict
Both teams have enjoyed a successful February, but Cleveland have lost their last couple of games on the road.
Detroit, meanwhile, just took down the champions and have been solid at home this season, so give us the Pistons in this one.
