The Mavericks ended the regular season with a 50-32 record, earning them fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
They won seven of the final 10 games to enter the postseason in good form, but made a losing start o this series as they were beaten 109-97 in LA.
Dallas responded with a 96-93 win on the road, and then returned home to take 2-1 series lead thanks to a 101-90 victory.
The Mavericks failed to make it three wins in a row though, as they fell to a 116-111 home defeat on Sunday night.

The Clippers finished the regular season with a 51-31 record, claiming fourth place in the Western Conference standings.

LA failed to back that up in the second meeting, losing 96-93, and then found themselves 2-1 down in the series when they lost 101-90 in Dallas.
The Clippers avoided a third consecutive defeat however, hauling themselves right back into this series with a 116-111 road win in Game 4.
Verdict
It is a rare occurrence when these two teams meet and the over cashes.
More often than not it is a defensive struggle, and with so much riding on Game 5 we expect a tight, low-scoring contest.
