Dallas Mavericks Form
Dallas rebounded from a Game 1 defeat to book their place in the second round with a 4-2 series win over the LA Clippers.
The Mavericks, who went 50-32 in the regular season to finish fifth in the Western Conference, made a losing start to the postseason as they were beaten 109-97 in LA.
They issued the perfect response though, levelling up the series with a 96-93 win on the road, and they backed that up in their home opener with a 101-90 victory.
Dallas passed up on the chance to take control of the series as they then lost 116-111 in Game 4, but they once again responded to a loss in strong fashion.
The Mavericks regained the series lead with a 123-93 win in LA, and then returned home to clinch with a 114-101 victory over the Clippers.
Oklahoma City Thunder Form
Oklahoma City marched into the second round of the playoffs by sweeping New Orleans in the opening round.
The Thunder topped the Western Conference at the end of the regular season thanks to a 57-25 record, and they have continued their good form in the playoffs so far.
They held the Pelicans to under 100 points in all four meetings as they comfortably got the job done in the first round.
Oklahoma City opened up with back-to-back home games and followed up a 94-92 victory with a 124-92 blowout win.
The Thunder then stepped up the defense even further in the two road games, as they downed New Orleans 106-85 and 97-89 to advance.
Verdict
Oklahoma City rolled over New Orleans in the first round and are backed to stay unbeaten in the playoffs.
