The Nuggets, who went 57-25 in the regular season to finish second in the Western Conference, made straightforward progress through the first round of the playoffs.
They beat the Los Angeles Lakers 114-103 and 101-99 at home, before heading to LA to take the third meeting, 112-105.
Denver lost 119-108 in Game 4, but they immediately rebounded at home with a series-clinching 108-106 victory over the Lakers in Game 5.
The Nuggets failed to follow that up in their first two meetings with Minnesota however, losing 106-99 and 106-80 at home.

Minnesota return home in a commanding position after maintaining their perfect playoff record with back-to-back wins in Denver.
The Timberwolves, who finished third in the Western Conference with a 56-26 record, sent a message to their postseason rivals with a stunning series sweep of Phoenix in the first round.
They opened the series with a couple of home wins over the Suns, winning 120-95 and 105-93.
Minnesota wasted no time in wrapping things up, as they went out on the road to win 126-109 and 122-16 in Phoenix.
The Timberwolves red-hot form then continued on the road in the first two games of this series with Denver, as they beat the defending champions 106-99 and 106-80.
Verdict
Few expected Minnesota to take a 3-0 lead in the series, but we expect that to happen here.
