Houston head to Denver looking to build on a win that snapped a three-game losing skid and improved their record to 9-9.
The Rockets rebounded from a three-game losing run in late November with back-to-back wins at home, downing Memphis 111-91 and Denver 106-86.
They failed to build on that when they went back out on the road though, suffering three more defeats on their travels.
Houston lost 121-115 in Dallas, before heading to Denver for a 134-124 loss and Los Angeles for a 107-97 defeat at the hands of the Lakers.
A return home brought return to winning ways though, as the Rockets beat Oklahoma City 110-101 on Wednesday night.
Denver Nuggets Form
Denver return home on the back of a couple of road defeats that dropped them to 14-8 on the season.
The Nuggets form cooled in the second half of November as they lost five times in a six-game spell.
They did get back on track before the end of the month though, bouncing back from a loss to Houston with four straight wins.
Denver beat San Antonio 132-120 at home and the LA Clippers 113-104 on the road, before taking down Houston, 134-124, in their final game of the month.
The Nuggets then made a winning start to December as they won 119-111 in Phoenix, only to then lose 123-117 in Sacramento and 111-102 at the LA Clippers.
Verdict
'Normal service' was resumed as Denver beat Houston by double digits last month, and we are expecting more of the same here.
