Oklahoma City head to Cleveland riding a 15-game win streak that has propelled them to a Western Conference-best record of 30-5.
The Thunder have not lost since the 119-116 defeat in Houston back on December 1, responding immediately with a 133-106 blowout of Utah.
They avenged that loss to the Rockets with a 111-96 victory in the final of the NBA Cup, and later closed out 2024 with a 113-105 win over Minnesota.
Oklahoma City then kicked off 2025 with a 116-98 blowout of the LA Clippers, before downing New York 117-107.
The Thunder then knocked off defending champions Boston on Sunday night, beating the Celtics 105-92 at home.
Cleveland Cavaliers Form
Cleveland also go into this game in fantastic form, having reeled off 10 straight wins to lead the Eastern Conference at 31-4.
The Cavaliers’ last defeat came back on December 8 when they were beaten 122-113 in Miami.
They bounced back emphatically by winning their next five games, before embarking on a perfect road trip that saw them beat four Western Conference teams.
Cleveland downed Denver 149-135, Golden State 113-95, the Los Angeles Lakers 122-110 and Dallas 134-122.
The Cavaliers then returned home to take their streak to 10 games with a 115-105 victory over Charlotte on Sunday night.
Verdict
You could make a case for both teams in this one, but we are leaning towards Cleveland.
The Cavaliers have been borderline flawless at home so far this season so, at least for now, they have to be the pick when they step out on the home court.
