Indiana enter their final game of the regular season boasting a 100% record to stay on course for the Big Ten Championship and the playoffs.
The Hoosiers reeled off three non-conference wins to start the season, and then made a statement in their Big Ten opener as they crushed a top-10 ranked Illinois team, 63-10.
They backed that up with a 20-15 win in Iowa, and then recorded their best win of the season so far as they travelled to Oregon and beat the number three-ranked Ducks, 30-20.
Indiana then returned home to win back-to-back games, beating Michigan State 38-13 and UCLA 56-6, before heading back out on the road to down Maryland 55-10 and Penn State 27-24.
The Hoosiers then made it 11-in-a-row last weekend as they beat Wisconsin at home, 31-7.
Purdue Form
Purdue go into their final game of the campaign having lost nine consecutive games to fall to 2-9.
The Boilermakers kicked off the campaign by beating Ball State 31-0 and Southern Illinois 34-17, but it has been all downhill since then.
They began their Big Ten slate with a 33-17 defeat to USC, and then suffered a 56-30 loss to Notre Dame before returning to conference duty to lose 43-27 to Illinois.
Purdue then dropped back-to-back games on the road, losing 27-20 at Minnesota and 19-0 at Northwestern, before heading back home for a 27-24 loss to Rutgers.
The Boilermakers then saw their skid reach nine games as they sandwiched a 34-10 home loss to Ohio State with road defeats to Michigan, 21-16, and Washington, 49-13.
Verdict
Only a catastrophic loss to Purdue can derail Indiana, and we are not expecting that to happen here.
This matchup might not be a repeat of last season’s 66-0 demolition, but we are backing the Hoosiers for a commanding win.
