They failed to back that up a week later as they lost 24-21 at home to Alabama, but that has so far proven to be their only misstep this season.
Georgia rebounded with a 35-14 win over Kentucky, and backed that up with a 20-10 victory over Auburn and an important 43-35 win over Ole Miss.
The Bulldogs then beat Florida 24-20, Mississippi State 41-21, Texas 35-10 to wrap up their SEC slate, before downing Charlotte 35-3 in non-conference action last weekend.

Georgia Tech enter this matchup having lost two of their last three games to do some serious damage to their playoff hopes.
The Yellow Jackets began the campaign with a couple of non-conference wins, before opening their ACC schedule with a 24-21 win over Clemson.
They then beat Temple 45-24 in a non-conference matchup, before taking command of the ACC with a run of four consecutive wins, starting with a 30-29 win at Wake Forest.
Georgia Tech then beat Virginia Tech 35-20, Duke 27-18 and Syracuse 41-16, before suffering a shock 48-36 defeat at the hands of NC State.
The Yellow Jackets responded with a 36-34 win at Boston College, only to lose 42-28 to Pitt last time out.

Georgia are playoff bound while Georgia Tech have seemingly pressed self-destruct in recent weeks.
