They failed to maintain that momentum though, as they were beaten 24-19 at Ole Miss in their second conference matchup.
LSU responded with a 20-10 win over South Carolina, only to then lose 31-24 at Vanderbilt, 49-25 to Texas A&M and 20-9 at Alabama.
The Tigers avoided a fourth straight loss as they beat Arkansas 23-22, and they made it back-to-back wins last weekend as they edged past Western Kentucky, 13-10.

Oklahoma go into this matchup having won each of their last three games to reach 9-2 and stay firmly in the playoff hunt.
The Sooners opened the season with three straight non-conference wins, including a 24-13 victory over Michigan, and made it four-in-a-row as they beat Auburn 24-17 in their SEC opener.
They then made it five-in-a-row as they shut out Kent State in a non-conference game, 44-0, only to cool off as they lost two of their next three games.
Oklahoma returned to SEC action and sandwiched a 26-7 win at South Carolina with a 23-6 defeat to Texas and a 34-26 loss to Ole Miss.
The Sooners have got back on track in recent weeks though, following up a 33-27 win at Tennessee with a 23-21 victory at Alabama and a 17-6 success at home to Missouri.
Verdict
LSU’s offense has struggled all season long and managed just 13 points against Western Kentucky last time out.
