Kansas City wrapped up the regular season with a 25-17 win against Cincinnati and a 13-12 victory at the Los Angeles Chargers, securing an 11-6 record and a place in the Wildcard round.
The Chiefs that made straightforward work of their home clash with Miami, beating the Dolphins 26-7 in extremely cold conditions.
That set up a visit to Buffalo in the Divisional round – the team’s first road playoff game of the Patrick Mahomes Era.
Kansas City would not be denied another AFC Championship Game appearance though, battling past the Bills, 27-24.
Baltimore Ravens Form
Baltimore are making their first appearance in the AFC Championship Game since the 2012 season.
The Ravens dropped a couple of games early in the season, but playoff football never appeared to be in doubt as they went into the bye week with a 9-3 record.
When they returned from the weekend off, they reeled off four consecutive victories to secure the number one seed and homefield advantage with a 13-4 record.
That run included an impressive 33-19 victory in San Francisco as well as a 56-19 demolition of Miami.
Baltimore concluded the regular season with a 17-10 defeat to Pittsburgh that saw them rest their key players, and they then enjoyed a bye on Super Wildcard weekend.
Lamar Jackson & Co. returned for the Divisional playoff against Houston, and they did not disappoint.
The Ravens produced a dominant showing as they won 34-10 and brought the Texans back down to Earth with a bump.
