However, the Chiefs met their match in the NFL’s showpiece game, and they suffered a 40-22 defeat at the hands of Philadelphia.

Los Angeles go into the new season looking to avoid another early postseason exit this time around.
The Chargers went into the 2024 campaign with Jim Harbaugh at the helm, and the man who led Michigan to National Championship glory led his team to a successful regular season campaign.
They won 11 of their 17 games to earn a trip to the playoffs, and they went into the postseason on a good run of form thanks to three straight victories.
Los Angeles wrapped up the regular season by winning 34-27 at home to Denver, before heading out on the road to beat New England 40-7 and Las Vegas 34-20.
The Chargers went one-and-done in the postseason however, as they lost 32-12 to Houston in the wildcard round.
Verdict
Kansas City have won seven straight meetings with the Chargers, and their only defeat against AFC West opposition in 2024 came in a ‘dead rubber’ where they rested their stars.
