Minnesota Vikings at Denver Broncos Preview & Picks

Denver are tipped to cover as they continue their surge.

Both teams have kick-started their season recently, but the Broncos look a more rounded team.

The defense has toughened up since the Miami horror-show and it is tough to ignore the wins over the Chiefs and Bills.

  • Denver Broncos are on a 3-game win streak
  • Denver Broncos are 3-0-0 ATS in their last 3 games
  • The Under has cashed in each of Denver’s last 4 games
  • The Under has hit in 7 of Minnesota’s 10 games so far

Head To Head

  • Minnesota Vikings lead the all-time series
  • Minnesota Vikings won 27-23 when the two teams last met in November 2019

Minnesota Vikings Form

Minnesota are riding a five-game win streak that has improved them to 6-4 to breathe new life into this season.

The Vikings lost four of their first five games, but a narrow 19-13 win in Chicago provided the spark they needed to turn things around.

They followed that up with a 22-17 upset of San Francisco, before knocking off Green Bay on the road, 24-10.

Minnesota made it four-in-a-row when Joshua Dobbs stepped off the sidelines to lead them to a 31-28 win in Atlanta just days after signing.

The Vikings then made it five-in-a-row in Dobbs’ first start, as they downed New Orleans at home last weekend, 27-19.

Denver Broncos Form

Denver have won each of their last three games to improve to 4-5 and put themselves in the playoff race.

The Broncos appeared to be a team in crisis as they lost four of their first five games of the season.

They lost their sixth game too, but a strong defensive showing in a 19-8 defeat at Kansas City marked a turnaround for a defense that had struggled to that point.

Ten days later Denver finally got back in the win column with a 19-17 victory over Green Bay, and they have followed that up with two big upsets against conference rivals.

The Broncos shut down the Kansas City offense as they won 24-9 at home, and last Monday night they claimed a shock 24-22 victory in Buffalo to make it three-in-a-row.

Verdict

These two teams have gone from ‘dead and buried’ to playoff contenders in recent weeks.

Minnesota’s streak is longer, but Denver have just taken out two big names and that defense can slow down Dobbs & Co.
