New York enter this short week on an improved run of form, having won back-to-back games to improve to 2-7.
The Jets opened the season with a 34-32 shootout defeat at home to Pittsburgh, and that proved to be the start of a miserable run.
They then lost 30-10 at home to Buffalo, before heading out on the road for a 29-27 loss at Tampa Bay and a 21-21 defeat at Miami.
New York’s winless start reached seven games as they then headed back home to lose 37-22 to Dallas, 13-11 to Denver and 13-6 to Carolina.
The Jets finally got off the mark in their final game of October though, beating Cincinnati 39-38 on the road, and they backed that up last weekend with a 27-20 win over Cleveland.
New England Patriots Form
New England go into this big division clash on an outstanding run of form, having won each of their last seven games to reach 8-2.
The Patriots got off to a slow start as they sandwiched a 33-27 victory in Miami with home defeats to Las Vegas, 20-13, and Pittsburgh, 21-14.
They have not lost since though, sparking this red-hot run of form with a 42-13 blowout of Carolina at home.
New England then headed out on the road to upset Buffalo 23-20, beat New Orleans 25-19 and down Tennessee 31-13.
The Patriots won back-to-back home games after that, beating Cleveland 32-13 and Atlanta 24-23, before taking their streak to seven games with a 28-23 victory at Tampa Bay last weekend.
Verdict
New York have shown some fight over the past couple of weeks, but this New England team are a big step up from the Bengals and Browns.
The Patriots are on a tear playing good complimentary football, and we expect them to cover as they extend their hot streak.
