The Buccaneers opened the season with back-to-back wins on the road, beating Atlanta 23-20 and Houston 20-19 to make a flying start.
They made it three-in-a-row with a 29-27 win over the New York Jets, and then bounced back from a 31-25 loss at home to Philadelphia with wins over Seattle, 38-35, and San Francisco, 30-19.
Tampa Bay failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 24-9 in Detroit, only to respond with a 23-3 victory in New Orleans.
The Buccaneers failed to follow that up at home though, as they were beaten 28-23 at home by New England.

Buffalo return home on the back of a surprise defeat in Miami that dropped their record to 6-3.
The Bills staged a dramatic late fightback to beat Baltimore 41-40 on opening night, and that proved to be the start of a four-game streak to start the season.
They beat the New York Jets 30-10 on the road, before returning back home to down Miami 31-21 and New Orleans 31-19.
Buffalo’s perfect start was ended by a shock 23-20 home defeat to New England, and that was followed by a 24-14 defeat when they visited Atlanta.
The Bills rallied on the road with a 40-9 blowout of Carolina, and then returned home to down Kansas City 28-21, but they failed to make it three-in-a-row as they were beaten 30-13 in Miami last weekend.
Verdict
Buffalo’s defeat in Miami is unlikely to be the start of a major collapse, but we cannot ignore their difficulties in covering the spread this season.
