The Commanders lost their season opener in Tampa, but responded strongly by reeling off four consecutive victories.
They beat the New York Giants 21-18 at home, before heading out on the road to down Cincinnati 38-33 and Arizona 42-14.
Washington then beat Cleveland 34-13 at home, before seeing their streak end with a 30-23 defeat in Baltimore.
The Commanders responded by beating Chicago 18-15 and Carolina 40-7 at home, and New York Giants 27-22 on the road, only to see that run end with a 28-27 loss to Pittsburgh.

Philadelphia enter this Thursday night matchup on a good run of form, having reeled off five consecutive wins to reach 7-2.
The Eagles were hit or miss over the first four weeks, going 2-2 in that time, but the 20-16 home win over Cleveland kick-started their season.
They went out on the road to claim a division win, beating the New York Giants 28-3, before heading to Cincinnati for a 37-17 victory over the Bengals.
Philadelphia then returned home to beat Jacksonville 28-23, before taking their win streak to five games with another important victory last weekend.
The Eagles visited AT&T Stadium for a big game against division rivals Dallas, and they blew out the Cowboys in a 34-6 win.
