Los Angeles enter this matchup on a disappointing run of form, having now lost five of their last seven games.
The Kings embarked on a four-game win streak in the middle of November, only to cool off and lose the next three.
They were beaten 2-1 by Washington and 4-3 by San Jose on the road, before returning home for a 2-1 overtime defeat at the hands of Boston.
Los Angeles avoided a fourth straight loss as they beat Ottawa 2-1 at home, but they failed to back that up as they dropped a shootout in Anaheim, 5-4.
The Kings rebounded with a 2-1 overtime victory against Vancouver, only to then lose 3-1 when they entertained Washington.
