Chicago head to Seattle having begun this road trip with a couple of losses to fall to 5-4-3.
The Blackhawks opened the season with three straight losses, falling 3-2 at Florida, 4-3 in overtime at Boston and 3-2 at home to Boston.
They finally got off the mark with a 3-1 victory over Utah, and backed it up with an 8-3 win in St Louis before answering a 3-2 shootout loss to Vancouver with back-to-back wins.
Chicago beat Anaheim 2-1 in overtime and Tampa Bay 3-2 in regulation, and then bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Los Angeles with a 7-3 victory over Ottawa.
The Blackhawks have not win since though, following a 6-3 loss in Winnipeg with a 3-2 overtime defeat at Edmonton.
Seattle Kraken Form
Seattle enter this matchup looking to rebound from back-to-back home defeats that have dropped them to 5-2-4.
The Kraken opened the season by beating Anaheim 3-1 and Vegas 2-1 I overtime at home, only to then lose back-to-back games on the road, falling 5-4 in overtime at Montreal before losing a shootout to Ottawa, 4-3.
They rallied with a 4-3 overtime win in Toronto, only to then lose 5-2 in Philadelphia and 4-1 at Washington.
Seattle ended that road trip on a positive note though, winning 3-0 in Winnipeg, and they backed that up when they returned home to beat Edmonton 3-2.
The Kraken failed to maintain that winning form though, as they lost back-to-back games in overtime, 4-3 to Montreal and 3-2 to the New York Rangers.
Verdict
Seattle have dropped a couple at home, but this is still a team that does its best work on the home ice.
Chicago, on the other hand, have not travelled well so far, so we are backing the Kraken here.
