Utah head to Toronto having snapped a two-game skid with last night’s win, improving to 9-4-0.
The Mammoth opened the season with two defeats in their first three games, but they responded to that early struggle with a red-hot run during the second half of October.
They beat Calgary 3-1 at home, and backed that up by beating San Jose 6-3, Boston 3-2 and Colorado 4-3 in overtime before heading out on the road.
Utah kept their streak going on their travels, as they made it seven straight victories by beating St Louis 7-4, Minnesota 6-2 and Winnipeg 3-2.
The Mammoth then cooled off with a 6-3 loss in Edmonton and a 4-2 loss to Tampa Bay, before rallying last night with a 2-1 overtime win in Buffalo.

Toronto enter this matchup on an improved run of form, having won four of their last five games to climb to 7-5-1.
The Maple Leafs opened the season with a win, but failed to build on that as they lost five of their next seven games.
They lost three straight during that sequence, before finally stopping the rot with a 4-3 overtime victory when they hosted Buffalo.
Toronto backed that up with a 4-3 win at home to Calgary, before suffering a 6-3 defeat on the road in Columbus.
The Maple Leafs responded quickly though, backing up a 5-2 victory in Philadelphia with a 4-3 win at home to Pittsburgh.
Verdict
Toronto have found some form in recent days and they tend to play their best hockey at home.
So while Utah are off to a strong start, I expect the Maple Leafs to maintain their perfect record when facing the Mammoth.
