Cincinnati romped to the top of the Eastern Conference last year as they notched 20 wins from a possible 34.
Toronto finished at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference last year meaning a major improvement is needed this time around.
Head To Head
Cincinnati have won their last four games in a row against Toronto, with a 3-0 win at home followed by a battling 3-2 triumph on the road in 2023.

Cincinnati were magnificent in 2023 as they topped the Eastern Conference with a six-point lead over Orlando City. With 20 wins, nine draws and just five defeats in 34, Cincinnati were flying in 2023.
In the playoffs, Cincinnati beat the New York Red Bulls in two matches before then edging past Philadelphia Union in a 1-0. However, they came undone against eventual champions Columbus Crew as they lost in extra-time.
With the side looking to bounce back and get one step closer to glory than they managed last season, they will target a match against the bottom side from their Conference last season as one they have to win.
Toronto Form
Toronto were not good enough in 2023 as they lost 20 of their 34 games, with the 22 points they picked up seeing them end 47 points short of their next opponents at the top.
Just four wins in 34 attempts was the fewest of any side in the MLS, and they knew they would miss out on a playoff spot long before the top-places were decided.
While Toronto will look at the new season as a fresh chance to secure a win, a trip to face Cincinnati is hardly the ideal way to start their new campaign.
