Cerundolo Continues Consistent Season Run

Francisco Cerundolo is coming off a strong run in Miami, where he matched last year’s result by reaching the quarterfinal. He picked up notable wins over Daniil Medvedev and Ugo Humbert along the way.

He endured a disappointing finish to 2025 after a solid start, managing multiple main-draw wins only three times in the final seven months. However, he has rediscovered that early-season form in 2026 with more consistent performances.

Apart from an opening-round loss in Adelaide, he has cleared the first round in all six events he has played. His results include a fourth round at the Australian Open, a semifinal in Santiago, a title in Buenos Aires, and a quarterfinal in Miami.

Cerundolo is making his fourth appearance in Monte Carlo. He has won his opening match in all three previous visits but has yet to progress beyond the second round.

Tsitsipas Returns To Happy Hunting

Stefanos Tsitsipas is searching for his best level and continues to struggle with consistency, as reflected in his recent performances and results.

He recently failed to defend his title in Dubai, losing in the first round to Ugo Humbert, which saw him drop outside the top 50 for the first time in eight years.

Tsitsipas has played seven tournaments this season and recorded multiple main-draw wins only twice, reaching the quarterfinal in Doha and the third round in Miami.

He now returns to one of his favorite events, Monte Carlo, where he has won all three of his Masters titles and reached at least the quarterfinal in each of his last five appearances.
