Fonseca Rebounds After Tough Start

Joao Fonseca made a strong breakthrough last season, breaking into the top 30. His rise included titles in Buenos Aires and Basel, along with multiple third-round runs in big events.

The increased expectations affected him early this year, as he suffered early exits at the Australian Open, Rio de Janeiro, and Buenos Aires.

However, he has responded well in recent weeks, reaching the fourth round in Indian Wells and the second round in Miami, with both losses coming against top-two players.

Diallo Eyes Turnaround In Form

Gabriel Diallo is coming off an early exit in Bucharest, where he lost in straight sets to Alex Molcan. It marked his fifth opening-round loss in eight tournaments this season.

His only notable result this year has been a third-round run at the Indian Wells. While his ranking has not taken a major hit, he needs to build momentum with important points to defend in Madrid soon.

This will be his second appearance in Monte Carlo. He failed in qualifying on debut last year, but his progress since then has been significant, and he now enters the main draw with a much improved ranking.
