Racing Betting Picks
Free horse racing picks for the biggest races of the year, including the Kentucky Derby, the Triple Crown and the Breeders' Cup. Every preview gives you our picks and the reasons behind them.
How to Bet on Horse Racing
Win, place and show - Win: your horse must finish first. Place: first or second. Show: first, second or third. "Across the board" is one bet on all three.
Exacta - Pick the first two in the right order. A boxed exacta covers both orders and costs twice as much.
Trifecta and superfecta - Pick the first three, or the first four, in order. Boxing them covers every order, at a higher cost.
Daily double and Pick 3, 4, 5 and 6 - Pick the winners of several races in a row.
Scratches - If your horse is withdrawn before the race, a win, place or show bet on it is usually refunded.
