Gilbert Burns is returning to action after coming up short in his quest to become welterweight champion.
Burns had an unsuccessful stint at lightweight before returning to 170lbs in August 2019, and it proved to be a good move for the Brazilian.

Burns followed that up with a dominant decision win over former champion Tyron Woodley to earn his crack at the welterweight title.
That bid ended in failure though as he was knocked out by Kamaru Usman in round three in February.
That loss leaves Burns with a 19-4 record, with six victories coming via knockout and eight by submission.
Of his four losses, the Brazilian has two knockout defeats and two decision defeats.

Stephen Thompson has got his career back on track after a difficult two-and-a-half year run.
‘Wonderboy’ surged into title contention in 2015 when he recorded first-round stoppages of Jake Ellenberger and Johny Hendricks.
Thompson then earned a decision win over Rory MacDonald to earn his crack at then-champion Tyron Woodley.
The pair went to a majority draw in the first meeting and in the rematch Woodley earned a majority decision win.
Thompson rebounded with a decision win over Jorge Masvidal, but that would be his last win for two years.
‘Wonderboy’ dropped a decision to Darren Till before being knocked out by Anthony Pettis as he slid down the rankings.
Thompson halted that slide with decision wins over Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal.
He goes into this fight with Burns with a 16-4 record that includes eight KO/TKO wins and one submission success.
Three of his four losses have come via decision, with that loss to Pettis his only stoppage defeat.
