Toronto responded by beating Montreal 16-14 in overtime, but again they failed to back up a victory as they travelled to Calgary to lose 27-23 to the Stampeders.
The Argonauts did finally string together wins either side of the bye though, downing Calgary 39-25 before beating Saskatchewan 20-19.

Hamilton come into this game looking to avoid a second five-game losing skid of the 2024 regular season.
The Tiger-Cats began the season with five consecutive defeats, before briefly rallying after their first bye week.
They beat Toronto 27-24 at home, before heading out on the road to down the Elks in Edmonton, 44-28.
Hamilton failed to keep that run going though, as they lost back-to-back games against defending champions Montreal, 33-16 at home and 33-23 on the road.
The Tiger-Cats then suffered a 47-22 defeat at home to Edmonton, before heading to Winnipeg where they were beaten 26-23 by the Blue Bombers.
Verdict
Toronto appear to be building up some steam, while the losses continue to stack up for Hamilton.
