Toronto head to Hamilton having ended a three-game losing run with only their third victory of the season so far.
The Argonauts opened the season with three straight defeats, falling 28-10 in Montreal, 29-19 at home to Calgary and 39-32 at home to Saskatchewan.
They finally got off the mark with a 29-16 victory in Ottawa, only to immediately return to losing ways as they were beaten 51-38 by Hamilton and 26-25 in Montreal.
Toronto rallied to beat Winnipeg 31-17 at home, but they lost the rematch on the road a week later, 40-31, and that sparked a three-game skid.
The Argonauts then lost 46-42 to Ottawa and 28-20 in Edmonton, before ending that losing run with a 52-34 success against the BC Lions last weekend.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats Form
Hamilton return from the bye week looking to end a two-game losing sequence that dropped them to 6-4.
The Tiger-Cats made a slow start to the season as they lost 38-26 in Calgary and 28-23 at home to Saskatchewan before the bye week.
The weekend off did them some favours though, as they reeled off six consecutive wins when they returned to action.
Hamilton got off the mark with a 35-17 win over Montreal, and backed that up by beating Toronto 51-38, Ottawa, 23-20, Ottawa 30-15, BC 37-33 and Edmonton 28-24.
The Tiger-Cats’ run was finally ended by a 41-38 overtime defeat to the BC Lions, and they then went into the bye week with a 29-9 loss in Saskatchewan.
Verdict
Hamilton have lost their last two, but they have offered more reasons for optimism.
