Toronto head back out on the road in desperate need of a win, having lost the first three games in their defence of the Grey Cup.
The Argonauts went all the way in 2024, eventually beating Winnipeg in the championship game, but it has been a miserable start to 2025 for them.
They opened the season with a rematch of last season’s East Final, and fell to a 28-10 defeat at the hands of Montreal on the road.
Toronto’s next two games came at home, but they failed to make the most of that as they fell to 0-3.
The Argonauts dropped their home opener to Calgary, 29-19, and then suffered a 39-32 defeat when they hosted Saskatchewan.
Ottawa Redblacks Form
Ottawa return home looking to build on their first win of the season, which improved their record to 1-2.
The Redblacks made it to the playoffs a year ago, losing to Sunday’s opponents Toronto in the East Semi-Final, and they will be looking to make another run in 2025.
They suffered a couple of early setbacks in their quest though, as they suffered back-to-back defeats.
Ottawa were beaten 31-26 in Saskatchewan in their season opener, and then fell to a 39-18 defeat when they hosted Montreal in their home opener.
The Redblacks finally got off the mark last weekend though, as they down the Stampeders in Calgary, 20-12.
Verdict
Toronto remain winless, but we are going to give them the benefit of the doubt here.
