Current top-ten in the individual points standings after four rounds:

1. Peter Uihlein 65 pts
2. Charles Howell III 57 pts
3. Talor Gooch 52 pts
4. Carlos Ortiz 52 pts
5. Patrick Reed 44 pts
6. Sebastian Munoz 43 pts
7. Brooks Koepka 42 pts
8. Danny Lee 40 pts
9. Brendan Steele 40 pts
10. Dean Burmester 37 pts

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith began his year with a victory in his homeland at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship (DP World Tour) before putting in two disappointing performances by missing the cut at the ISPS Handa Australian Open (DP World Tour) and PIF Saudi International (Asian Tour).

Smith bounced back to form on the LIV Golf Tour by placing 6th in Mayakoba before posting three average results by finishing 26th in Tucson, 29th in Orlando and T34 at the Masters.

The 29-year-old returned to Australia and produced a credible 4th in Adelaide last weekend.

Smith appears to have turned the corner after his last performance and looks set to take home the winner's cheque in Singapore.

Patrick Reed

Patrick Reed had a fair start to the new LIV Golf season when finishing 38th in Mayakoba and 18th in Tucson before finding another gear by placing 4th in Orlando, 4th at the Masters and 3rd in Adelaide.

Before that, Reed struggled at his first event of the year by missing the cut at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (DP World Tour) before placing 2nd Hero Dubai Desert Classic (DP World Tour) and T25 PIF Saudi International (Asian Tour).

Reed has had four top-four places in eight tournament starts this year and has an excellent chance to land his maiden LIV Golf title if he keeps replicating those performances.

Peter Uihlein

Peter Uihlein made two appearances on the Asian Tour at the start of 2023, finishing T18 at the Saudi International before missing the cut at the International Series Oman.

The 33-year-old American has continued the impressive run of form he showed last year on the LIV Golf Tour by placing 2nd at Mayakoba, 10th at Tucson, 8th in Orlando and 7th in Adelaide.

Uihlein is the leading points scorer on the LIV Golf Series thus far and can covert his consistency into victory at the Sentosa Golf Club.

Mito Pereira

Mito Pereira featured on the PGA Tour at the start of the season, achieving solid results by placing T4 at the Shriners Children's Open, T45 at the ZOZO Championship and T18 at the CJ Cup in South Carolina.

Before Pereira crossed the aisle to the LIV Golf Invitational Series, he played in two events on Asian Tour, finishing T6 at the Saudi International and T11 at the International Series in Oman.

The Chilean has been in great touch on the LIV Golf Tour since those performances, placing 16th in Mayakoba, 6th in Tucson, 6th in Orlando, T43 at the Masters and 27th in Adelaide.

Pereira has had four top-10 places in ten tournaments and offers excellent value in Singapore.

Format

An invitational field of 48 golfers will feature at the tournament, with a total purse of $25 million up for grabs. $4 million will go to the winner, while the player coming in last will pocket $120,000.

The players will contest 54 holes instead of the traditional 72 for all the LIV Golf Invitational Series events.

A shotgun start will occur, where the players will tee off simultaneously from different holes.

A 12-four-man team format will run concurrent, with the top three teams earning prize money.

Verdict

Smith showed signs he is returning to his best and can go all the way at the Sentosa Golf Club.

Reed cannot be ignored at present and can take the title at the LIV Golf Singapore event this weekend.

Uihlein is ever present on the LIV Golf tour and will fancy his chances to lift the trophy come Sunday.

Pereira has been thereabouts all year and has the game to win this weekend.
