Atlanta enter the final game of this series on the back of a loss, but in solid form with nine wins in their last 13 games.
The Braves began this sequence with a 6-2 victory in Milwaukee, which was followed by 12-4 and 4-1 home wins over Colorado.
They failed to sweep the Rockies as the lost the series finale 10-1, but they rebounded strongly to sweep the New York Mets, winning 5-4, 5-0 and 7-1 at home.
Atlanta went out on the road after that and made a disappointing start to this trip as they sandwiched a 7-0 victory in Miami with 6-2 and 5-3 defeats to the Marlins.
The Braves rallied in New York as they beat the Mets 3-2 and 7-4, but they failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost the penultimate game of the series, 7-3.
New York Mets Form
New York go into this series finale on the back of a win, but they have been in miserable form in recent weeks, losing 10 of their last 12 games.
The Mets won six straight earlier this month, but their form nose-dived as they were swept at home by Tampa Bay, losing 7-5, 8-4 and 0-9.
They then went out on the road and were swept again, this time losing 5-4, 5-0 and 7-1 to the Braves in Atlanta, before falling 10-2 in the series opener in Philadelphia.
New York snapped the skid with an 11-4 win over the Phillies, only to lose the series finale 7-1.
The Mets then returned home for 3-2 and 7-4 defeats to Atlanta, before avoiding a fourth straight loss as they downed the Braves, 7-3.
Verdict
Atlanta may have lost last night, but they have dominated the New York Mets this month.
Grant Holmes has given up very little over his last few appearances too, so give us the Braves as a slight underdog.
