The Royals began this sequence with a 6-5 defeat in Detroit that brought an end to a four-game win streak.
They then lost 4-1 to the Tigers and 6-5 in Toronto, before rallying to beat the Blue Jays 4-1 and 6-1 to wrap up that road trip.
Kansas City made it three-on-a-row with a 7-1 home win over Texas, only to then suffer 15-4 and 3-2 defeats at the hands of the Rangers.
The Chiefs avoided a third straight defeat as they beat Milwaukee 3-2, and they then bounced back from a 6-5 defeat with a 6-4 victory.
Los Angeles Angels Form
Los Angeles come into this series on the back of a win, but in poor form having lost 14 of their previous 19 games.
The Angels’ rough run started with a five-game skid that was finally ended by a 7-4 victory at home to Baltimore.
They failed to build on that though, losing their next four games before briefly stopping the rot with a 6-5 win at home to Philadelphia.
Los Angeles lost the next two games against the Phillies, 7-5 and 2-1, and then failed to back up a 6-0 win in Cleveland as they were beaten 7-1 and 4-1 by the Guardians.
The Angels dropped the series opener in Pittsburgh too, losing 4-1, but they did respond to that with 9-0 and 5-4 wins over the Pirates.
Verdict
Los Angeles have been in terrible form at home this season, so we like the Royals in what could be a high-scoring game.
