Los Angeles successfully negotiated series with Cincinnati and Philadelphia on their way to the National League Championship Series.
The Dodgers secured their place in the playoffs by compiling a 93-69 record to finish top of the NL West standings.
Despite that record they missed out on a bye for the Wild Card round, but they did make straightforward work of Cincinnati, sweeping them at home thanks to 10-5 and 8-4 wins.
Los Angeles then enjoyed a dream start to the Division Series as they went out on the road and won back-to-back games in Philadelphia, 5-3 and 4-3.
The Dodgers missed out on the series sweep, losing 8-2 at home in Game 3, but they issued an immediate response as they clinch in Game 4 thanks to a 2-1 victory.
They then followed that up with a narrow victory in the opening game of this series with Milwaukee, beating the Brewers 2-1 on the road.
Milwaukee Brewers Form
Milwaukee progressed to the National League Championship Series by battling past the Chicago Cubs in five games in the last round.
The Brewers secured their place in the postseason by finishing top of the NL Central, with a 97-65 record, securing a first-round bye in the process.
When they finally began their playoff campaign they made a dominant start at home with 9-3 and 7-3 victories over the Cubs.
That gave Milwaukee the chance to clinch in Chicago, but they passed up on that opportunity as they suffered 4-3 and 6-0 defeats at the hands of the Cubs.
The Brewers would not be denied though, and held their nerve in Game 5 to down Chicago, 3-1, and set up this meeting with the Dodgers.
They find themselves in a hole early though, having suffered a 2-1 defeat at home in the opening game of this championship series.
Verdict
The Dodgers are rolling, with the Game 1 victory in Milwaukee continuing their tremendous recent form on the road.
Both teams should get good pitching in this one, and we expect LA to come out on top in another low-scoring matchup that delivers the Under.
