Their losing sequence reached three games with a 6-5 defeat in Oakland, but they did rebound in that series with 10- and 3-2 victories.
Los Angeles then returned home to down Philadelphia 5-3, only to drop the next two meetings with the Phillies, 6-2 and 9-4.
The Dodgers responded in emphatic fashion though, reeling off 9-5, 4-1 and 6-5 victories to sweep Pittsburgh in a three-game series at home.
Milwaukee Brewers Form
Milwaukee came into this series on the back of a defeat, but in good form having won five of their previous six games.
The Brewers ended July with a couple of home defeats to Atlanta, losing 5-1 and 6-2 to the Braves.
They avoided a third consecutive defeat by winning 8-3 in Washington, but failed to build on that as they dropped the next two games, 6-4 and 4-3.
Milwaukee did rebound in Atlanta though, as they swept the Braves in a three-game series, winning 10-0, 8-5 and 16-7.
The Brewers then took their win streak to five games with 8-3 and 1-0 wins at home to Cincinnati, but saw it end with a 4-3 defeat to the Reds.
Verdict
Colin Rea is a man in form while Gavin Stone has had some rough recent outings, so give us Milwaukee on this one.
