That meant they would clinch the series with three consecutive victories at Dodger Stadium, and they took their opening home game of the series, 6-5.
However, Los Angeles failed to back that up, losing 6-2 and 6-1 to the Blue Jays, and that meant they had to win in Toronto on Friday night.
The Dodgers did just that, running out 3-1 winners to set up this massive Game 7 showdown.

Toronto get one last chance to be crowned world champions, having passed up on the opportunity on Friday night.
The Blue Jays got hot late on as they won the series opener with Los Angeles, 11-4, but they failed to make the most of home advantage as they lost the second meeting, 5-1.
They then fell behind for the first time in the series as they were beaten 6-5 at Dodger Stadium, only to respond in style.
Toronto regained the series lead in Los Angeles thanks to 6-2 and 6-1 victories, and that meant they had the opportunity to wrap up the series last night.
The Blue Jays failed to take that chance though, as they were beaten 3-1 by the Dodgers to set up this winner-takes-all matchup.
Verdict
It is tough to ignore how this series has played out and Los Angeles' recent road form.
The Dodgers have been on a tear on their travels and have already won two of the previous three games played in Toronto, so we are backing the visitors to upset the home crown and take Game 7.
