Milwaukee head to Los Angeles in desperate need of a win, having begun the National League Championship Series with back-to-back defeats at home.
The Brewers were downed 2-1 in the series opener, before falling to a 5-1 defeat in Game 2 against the Dodgers on Tuesday night.
They secured their place in the playoffs by finishing top of the NL Central, with their 97-65 record earning them a first-round bye.
Milwaukee then advanced to the NL Championship Series with a five-game win over the Chicago Cubs in the Division round.
The Brewers opened that series with 9-3 and 7-3 wins at home, and then responded to 4-3 and 6-0 road defeats with a series-sealing 3-1 win in Game 5 at American Family Field.
Los Angeles Dodgers Form
Los Angeles return home in total command of the National League Championship Series, having won back-to-back games in Milwaukee.
The Dodgers opened the series with a 2-1 victory at American Family Field, and then topped that performance with a 5-1 win that has given them an opportunity to clinch at home.
They secured their place in the playoffs by compiling a 93-69 record to finish top of the NL West standings, and in the postseason they have downed Cincinnati and Philadelphia to reach the final four.
Los Angeles made straightforward work of Cincinnati in the Wild Card, sweeping them at home thanks to 10-5 and 8-4 wins, and then downed Philadelphia in four games.
The Dodgers won back-to-back games in Philadelphia, 5-3 and 4-3, and then bounced back from an 8-2 home defeat to the Phillies with a 2-1 victory that wrapped up the series.
Verdict
Los Angeles are once again in control of a playoff series thanks to back-to-back victories.
They slipped up in Game 3 against Philadelphia in the previous round, but we do not expect a repeat of that against a Milwaukee team that is 0-2 on their travels in the 2025 playoffs.
