The Brewers struggled for consistency during the first week of August as they traded wins and losses with Washington, Pittsburgh and Colorado.
They did win a couple of games against the Rockies though, winning 12-1 and 7-6 either side of a 7-3 defeat, and that second win sparked a four-game streak.
Milwaukee travelled to Chicago on the back of that win and swept the White Sox in a three-game series, winning 7-6, 3-2 and 7-3.
The Brewers then crossed the country to face the red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers, and they lost all three games, 6-2, 7-1 and 1-0.
Texas Rangers Form
Texas come into this series in good form despite suffering a disappointing defeat to the Los Angeles Angels last time out.
The Rangers started in August in red-hot fashion, sweeping both the Chicago White Sox and Miami in three game series at home.
Their streak then hit eight games as they went out on the road to win back-to-back games on Oakland, 5-3 and 6-1, but they missed out on another sweep as they lost the final meeting 2-0.
Texas rebounded quickly with 2-1 and 9-3 victories in San Francisco, although they again missed out on a sweep as they lost the last game 3-2.
The Rangers put that behind them when they returned home though, beating the Los Angeles Angels 12-0 and 7-3, before losing the third game 2-0.
Verdict
Texas are on a roll, especially at home, and they are backed to keep it going against a Milwaukee team who are faltering on the road.
