Philadelphia go into this series finale having made a strong start to the season, winning eight of their 11 games so far.
The Phillies kicked off the season with back-to-back wins in Washington, beating the Nationals 7-3 and 11-6.
They missed out on the series sweep as they lost the final meeting 5-1, but they rebounded to sweep Colorado in their home opener, recording 6-1, 5-1 and 3-1 wins.
Philadelphia then took two of their three meetings with the defending world champion Los Angeles Dodgers, sandwiching a 3-1 defeat with 3-2 and 8-7 victories.
The Phillies went back out on the road after that, and rebounded from a 7-5 loss in Atlanta with a 4-3 victory over the Braves.

Atlanta enter the final game of this series in desperate need of a victory, having now lost nine of their first 11 games.
The Braves opened up the season on the road with series against San Diego and the Los Angeles Dodgers, and it was a rough start as they were swept by both.
They lost 7-4, 4-3, 1-0 and 5-0 to the Padres, who eliminated them from the playoffs in 2024, and they fell 6-1, 3-1 and 6-5 to the defending champion Dodgers.
Atlanta finally got off the mark at the eighth attempt, beating Miami 10-0 in their home opener, but they failed to follow that up as they then lost 4-0 to the Marlins.
The Braves rebounded to start this series with Philadelphia with a 7-5 victory, only to then drop the second meeting 4-3.
Verdict
Philadelphia issued an immediate response to the series-opening loss, and we expect them to back it up.
With the exception of a couple of games, Atlanta have problems putting runs on the board this season, and that struggle could continue against Jesus Luzardo.
